NASA’s event on space exploration at Homearama

NASA Langley Research Center will outfit the Space Exploration House at the Tidewater Builders Association's Spring Homearama in Virginia Beach, May 28 - June 12.

It will highlight 20 commercial products that used NASA made technologies in its manufacture which includes a high tech insulation called ‘aero gel’, light bulbs, cosmetics, clothing, footwear, gardening, aeroponic, baby food and more, said a statement.

Aerogel is used by astronauts to insulate against the extreme temperatures in space, was used in the construction of the house.

Visitors can also meet the astronauts.

Children may take part in the construction of NASA shuttle and airplane models on June 11 and 12 from 1-4 pm. It will also host a space photo kiosk and hands-on activities for children, the statement from NASA said.

The house, located in the Eagle's Nest community, will highlight more than 20 commercial products that incorporate NASA developed technologies into their design or manufacture.
