The NY Annual Mermaid Parade is an auunal event taking place in Coney Island. The tradition first begain 1983, when this of event was conceptualized and organized by Dick Ziguan. The Mermaid Parade is held in celebration of beginning of the summar season and takes place on Saturday closest to the calendar start of Summar. See photos below taken at the parade.
