A comic book on horror master Stephen King hits stores tomorrow.

Orbit: Stephen King, follows the career of the man who created Carrie, The Stand, Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption and so much more from his days as a struggling writer (we all have to start somewhere) to prolific bestselling author, Bluewater Productions announced.

The comic book publisher said that its latest biography title, written by Michael Lent and Brian McCarthy and penciled by Kent Hurlburt, covers King's writing legacy, his love of the Boston Red Sox, forays into film, drug and alcohol issues, and the accident that nearly cost him his life.

The authors used King's account of his car accident in 1999 and police reports that differed from some news accounts, Lent said in a press release.

The authors say they confirmed a story of a young King witnessing a friend's accident involving a train which was creatively important.

Until now, the story was largely apocryphal and wasn't mentioned in King's autobiography. It's a great feeling when you can resolve something once and for all, Lent said.

The 32-page comic books costs $3.99. To find a comic bookstore in your neighborhood, go to www.comicshoplocator.com.

Bluewater began its Orbit line in April. There is also one on Howard Stern.
