HTC is hurrying with its smartphones -- HTC Thunderbolt, HTC Sensation and EVO 3D, while iPhone 5 is stuck with the cacophony of rumors and Samsung Galaxy S2 is yet to spread wild.

HTC has reached the 11 million-unit target driven by its market in U.S. and Asia, while plans to further roll out their next handset in the form of T-Mobile’s myTouch Slide 4G and HTC Holiday.

HTC’s Sensation and EVO 3D are the driving forces of the HTC smartphone market.

HTC Sensation has the following features:
• 4G LTE high-speed data connection via T-Mobile
• 4.3 inches Super LCD qHD touchscreen
• 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
• 8 MP rear camera (1080p HD video capable)
• VGA-quality front camera
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread
• HTC Sense user interface
• Wi-Fi connectivity
• HDMI support (with Micro HDMI port)

The HTC EVO 3D currently sports a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Adreno 220 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8660 chipset with 1 GB RAM. The phone has a dual-mode GSN/CDMA capable radio and a 4.3 16:9 qHD (960 x 540 pixel)Super LCD display.

Samsung's Galaxy S2 has already hit 3 million within 55 days of its launch in Europe and the fire is expected to spread wilder with its expansion of market in the U.S. where it will launch four versions.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is powered by a Qualcomm’s new dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 Mali-400MP GPU Orion chipset processor. It is an ultra-thin phone with a 4.3-inch AMOLED display with 800x480 screen resolution. It is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Galaxy S2 comes with 1 GB RAM and an internal memory of 12 GB and 32 GB. The phone also sports an 8 MP rear-facing and 2 MP front facing camera. Galaxy S2 has 1080p video capture capability. It also comes equipped with a super-fast HSPA+ connectivity to offer super fast mobile download speeds.

Galaxy S2 has also been endowed with enterprise features which will appeal to business users. The phone features Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, on-device encryption, virtual private network through Cisco's AnyConnect and Cisco's WebEx.

Apple had acknowledges Samsung Galaxy’s might when Apple filed a lawsuit against Samsung charging the company of copying iPad, iPhone and iPod designs in its devices.

The iPhone 5, however, has been rumored to come with a dual-core A5 processor which also powers the iPad2. It is expected to sport a 3.7-inch curved glass screen with AIM-less GSM and CDMA compatible phone design, along with 3-4 internal antennas for both GSM and CDMA networks. iPhone 5 will have an 8 MP camera with 1080p video playback and a dual-LED flash. Apple is also rumored to introduce NFC-support in its upcoming iPhone 5.

iPhone 5’s rumored specifications along with Samsung Galaxy S2 may steal the limelight from the hands of HTC, once they arrive. HTC is trying to make the most of their delay by slashing prices.
