Emmy Nominations 2011: Completed List Announced, HBO Reigns

The 2011 Emmy nominations were announced today, with AMC's Mad Men with the most nominations including Best Drama Series.

The 63^rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast on Fox on September 18, hosted by Glee's Jane Lynch.

Scoring 19 total nominations, three-time winner Mad Men is directly followed by Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family. Game of Thrones, 30 Rock and Glee follow behind closely. With 104 total nominations, up 3 from last year, HBO acquired the most nominations for the 11^th consecutive year, according to The New York Times.

Boardwalk Empire and Thrones, both HBO original series, are new shows competing with season favorites this year, these being their first Emmy nominations.

Steve Carell, who is in his last season for The Office, was nominated for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy, an award which he has not won yet.

All of the actors who play parents on Modern Family will compete with each other for Best Supporting Actor and Actress in a Drama, as they have all been nominated this year.
