Prompted by the death of Casey Anthony's 2-year-old daughter, two new bills were introduced in California today that would have put Casey Anthony in jail for 15 years. Caylee's Law has been introduced in at least 18 other states. Anthony was accused of murdering her daughter using duct tape and chloroform in the summer of 2008 and was acquitted July 5.

Anthony's father, George Anthony, joined a campaign to sign the petition for Caylee's Law, which will make it a felony for parents not to report missing children within 24 hours of their disappearance.

George Anthony, 62, wrote, Please take time to sign this petition for Caylee Marie. He added, This will assist other children.... I do not want to see another child go thru what Caylee endured...God Bless. The petition may be accessed at Change.org.

Anthony accused her father of raping her since early childhood and said that he enabled her to become a masterful liar.

Casey Anthony's defense said that the little girl drowned in a swimming pool accident. The prosecution maintained that Anthony drugged the girl with chloroform and suffocated her with duct tape. Massive amounts of chloroform was found in the trunk of Anthony's car and internet searches for the terms chloroform, self-defense, and neck-breaking were found on Anthony's home computer.

The child's remains were found six months after Cindy Anthony, Casey's mother, reported her missing.
