A camera, which can provide live streaming of whale sharks and manta rays over the Internet, is now live within the world's largest indoor aquatic habitat, the Ocean Voyager at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. Ocean Presence's OPT-02HD AquariCam, which is operated by the Discovery Channel for Shark Week 2011, took more than 6 years to get developed.

Discovery Channel's Sharkcam, provided by Ocean Presence Technologies, can show a real-time view of the three manta rays that reside in the world's largest aquarium along with four whale sharks and a number of other fish.

The camera presents a 360-degree panoramic live stream of the underwater experience. The live broadcast began on July 14 through Discovery's annual Shark Week, July 31 - August 6, 2011.

Ocean Voyager, the world's largest indoor ocean habitat, contains more than six million gallons of saltwater. Designed to house whale sharks, Ocean Voyager has 4,574 square feet of viewing windows and a 100-foot-long underwater tunnel.
