The Google made handset is typically $99 for Sprint and $199 from the other two carriers. Best Buy and Google have teamed up for one day only to boost sales of the Android 2.3 phone, which haven't topped the iPhone 4.

The phone is pretty well equipped. It is a 4G handset on Sprint. For AT&T and T-Mobile, it is 3G. The phone has a 4.0-inch screen, Super AMOLED display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and USB 2.0 features. The touch-screen phone also has a three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, digital compass and other hardware features.

It comes with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor from Samsung and 16GB of NAND flash memory. The phone has a back facing 5MP camera and 720 x 480 video resolution.

The Nexus S will also be the first phone to be able to use the Google Wallet service, which launches later this year. The service allows people to use the NFC capabilities and buy things point-of-sale with their smartphone.
