NEW YORK - China Finance Online Co. said Friday it will partner with China Telecom, a wireline telecommunications and broadband services company, to provide financial information services to China's broadband users through a new Web channel.

The two companies will create a financial channel on China Telecom's Vnet Web site. China Financial, an online financial data provider, will be responsible for the JRJC-Vnet Finance channel's financial content and analytical products. China Telecom will distribute the products, with both companies splitting revenue.
China Finance Chief Executive Zhiwei Zhao said in a statement that the partnership will boost its subscriber base and increase brand awareness. Lisheng Ye, deputy director of China Telecom's Internet and value-added business division, added that the agreement will help enhance its Web services.
