Lawsuit Dismissed Against Cellcom Israel

NEW YORK - An Israeli court has dismissed a claim that network provider Cellcom Israel Ltd. overcharged customers, the company said Wednesday.

Two cell phone subscribers claimed the company raised its tariffs unlawfully and they sought permission from Tel-Aviv District Court to convert the case to a class action lawsuit.

The company said it faces a similar outstanding lawsuit.

Cellcom is one of Israel's largest cell phone network providers. It claims more than 3 million subscribers.
