NEW YORK - Elsevier, a division of Netherlands-based publisher Reed Elsevier PLC, said Monday it acquired health care journal publisher Windhover Information Inc. for an undisclosed sum.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Elsevier, which produces science, technical and health information publications, said the acquisition will allow it to incorporate pharmaceutical and medical device industry information to its regulatory and general business news coverage.
Shares of Reed Elsevier fell 60 cents to $50.16 in afternoon trading.
