NEW YORK - Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group Inc. hired Jefferies & Co.'s David Jay Horin to be chief financial officer, the investment bank said Tuesday.
Horin replaces Thomas Pinou, who will refocus on cutting expenses and helping to integrate companies Rodman & Renshaw buys.
Horin has spent the past five years at Jefferies & Co., where he was managing director of accounting policy and financial reporting. Before that, he spent 10 years at KPMG LLP.
Chief Executive Michael Lacovara said in a statement Horin has experience structuring broker-dealer acquisitions, which is important because Rodman & Renshaw expects to be an active acquirer.
