NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Acacia Research Corp., which develops, acquires and licenses patented technologies, said Wednesday its diagnostic systems unit licensed rule-based monitoring technology to Quest Software Inc. as part of a legal settlement.
The licensing deal settles a patent dispute pending in the District Court for the Central District of California that was filed in December 2006, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
