NEW YORK (AP) - Airline shares plummeted Wednesday as oil prices shot up by more than $4 a barrel and economic worries weighed on stocks.
Here's a look at how some key airline stocks finished the day:
American Airlines parent AMR Corp., down $1.02, or 10.6 percent, to $8.61
Delta Air Lines Inc., down $1.23, or 12.3 percent, to $8.74
Southwest Airlines Co., down 66 cents, or 5.3 percent, to $11.80
United Airlines parent UAL Corp., down $2.14, or 8.9 percent, to $21.99.
