NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of most paper and packaging companies finished lower on Wednesday, following the broader markets down as investors mulled over discouraging economic data.

The Commerce Department reported a drop in February durable goods orders, in addition to another report from the government that showed soft sales of new homes.

Here's how some paper and packaging companies performed Wednesday:

Domtar Corp., down 9 cents, to $6.51.

International Paper Co., up 54 cents, or 2 percent, to $27.49.

Weyerhaeuser Co., down 98 cents, to $65.32.

AbitibiBowater Inc., down 14 cents, to $13.61.

Temple-Inland Inc., down 43 cents, or 3.2 percent, to $13.15.
