NEW YORK (AP) - The chairman of discount-clothing retailer Ross Stores Inc. sold 4,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Wednesday.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC, Norman A. Ferber reported selling the shares on Monday for $30.93 apiece.
