HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - Sears Holdings Corp., which owns Sears department stores and Kmart discount locations, said Thursday it named John W. Froman as president of tools and lawn and garden operations.

Froman most recently served as chief executive of Namco LLC, a regional chain of family recreation superstores, and previously was chief operating officer of Circuit City Stores Inc.
Separately, the company promoted Douglas T. Moore to the position of senior vice president and president, appliances. Moore started with the company in June 2007 as senior vice president of hardlines merchandising, following 17 years at Circuit City.
