TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Syntax-Brillian Corp.'s chief financial officer, Jack Hodgson, has stepped down "to pursue other opportunities," the LCD television maker said Thursday.

The company named Bradley Lines, previously senior vice president of finance and corporate treasurer, as interim CFO. Lines, 51, joined the company in May 2007 and has served as CFO of Ryobi Outdoor Products, Axxess Technologies and Cirilium.
Shares fell 5 cents, or 4.8 percent, to close at 97 cents.
