FOREST CITY, Iowa - Winnebago Industries Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Bruce Hertzke will step down in two months, the recreational vehicle manufacturer said Thursday. He will be replaced by Bob Olson, the company's president.

Hertzke, 56, has been with the company for 36 years and has been CEO since April 1998.
Olson, who is also 56, joined Winnebago in 1969 as an hourly production worker. He became vice president of manufacturing in 1996 and in 2006 became senior vice president of operations.
Olson was named president in May 2007 as part of a succession plan.
The transition will become effective May 5.
Shares of the company shed 18 cents to close at $17.69.
