Bracco Diagnostics is the U.S. subsidiary of Italy-based Bracco Imaging SpA and part of the Bracco Group. E-Z-EM has had a long association with Bracco Group, as it makes one of its oral imaging products. Bracco also serves as a distributor of E-Z-EM products in Italy.

The buyout was announced in October.

E-Z-EM's abdominal contrast agent business, along with the health care decontamination and the GI device businesses, will be integrated into Bracco Diagnostics Inc. The E-Z-EM contrast delivery, contrast data management, and point of care testing system businesses will move to ACIST Medical Systems, also part of the Bracco Group.
