Capstone Turbine Gets $5 Million Order

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Microturbine maker Capstone Turbine Corp. said it received a $5 million order from DesignLine International for 150 microturbines for its hybrid electric buses.

Capstone said late Tuesday that it will ship the microturbines to DesignLine's North Carolina plant through June 2009.

Capstone's microturbines generate power using a number of different fuels, such as natural gas, flare gas, propane and kerosene.

Shares of Capstone Turbine added 18 cents, or 7.8 percent, to $2.48 in electronic premarket trading. The stock closed at $2.30 on Tuesday.
