NEW YORK - Shares of Bob Evans Farms Inc. may be poised for active trading on Wednesday, after the restaurant operator said late Tuesday said poor weather dampened same-store sales at its namesake restaurants.
Bob Evans said same-store sales, a key industry performance metric, were nearly flat in March.
Also, after Tuesday's market close, business technology company Chordiant Software Inc. forecast fiscal second-quarter results short of Wall Street expectations and blamed a poor economy.
And LoJack Corp., which makes vehicle-tracking devices, cut its 2008 outlook because of lower sales of new cars.
Chief Executive Richard T. Riley said conditions in the auto market may improve later than expected.
