NEW YORK - Shares of most paper and packaging companies finished higher on Tuesday, despite broad market weakness related to disappointing quarterly reports from Alcoa and Advanced Micro Devices.
Also weighing on stocks were minutes from the Fed's March 18 meeting, which showed some central bank officials were concerned about the chance of a "prolonged and severe" business downturn.

Domtar Corp., up 9 cents to $7.33.
International Paper Co., up 41 cents to $29.10.
Weyerhaeuser Co., up 7 cents to $65.07.
AbitibiBowater Inc., up 10 cents to $12.91.
Temple-Inland Inc., up 35 cents, or 2.5 percent, to $14.33.
