A corrected version of the story appears below:
ST. LOUIS (AP) Amdocs Ltd., a provider of operations software to telecommunications companies, said Tuesday it purchased Jacobs Rimell Ltd. for about $45 million in cash.
Amdocs said the acquisition will broaden its operations support systems offering and complements transactions involving DST Innovis Inc. and Cramer Systems Group Ltd.
Jacobs Rimell is a provider of fulfillment solutions for the broadband cable industry.
Amdocs said it may record a one-time charge related to acquisition costs. The transaction is expected to be dilutive to fiscal 2008 profit, but the company said it will not be sure of the specifics until the deal's financial accounting is completed.
