GREENSBORO, N.C. - Real estate investment trust Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. said Thursday it would boost its annual dividend by nearly 6 percent.

The company said it raised the dividend to $1.52 per share from $1.44 per share.
Tanger said its board also declared a quarterly dividend of 38 cents per share for the first quarter ended March 31.
The quarterly dividend will be payable May 15 to shareholders of record on April 30.
