NEW YORK - Information-technology services company SI International Inc. said Monday it has been awarded three Department of Defense contracts worth about $131 million.

The agency may issue task orders under each of the contracts through Sept. 30, 2012, the company said.
SI shares jumped $1.35, or 6.5 percent, to $21.99 in afternoon trading. Shares have traded between $18.85 and $34.87 in the past 12 months.
