Outlook roundup: Cytec, Smurfit-Stone Container

WEST PATERSON, N.J. (AP) Cytec Industries Inc., a specialty chemicals and materials maker, on Thursday affirmed its full-year 2008 guidance.

CHICAGO (AP) Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., which makes paperboard and paper-based packaging, said Thursday it agreed to take a 90 percent stake in Calpine Corrugated, an independent corrugated container producer based in Fresno, Calif.

ST. LOUIS (AP) Amdocs Ltd., which provides operations software to telecommunications companies, on Thursday steered its full-year earnings expectations downward but issued an adjusted third-quarter outlook that could meet or beat Wall Street's expectations.
