Praxair Distribution said prices for helium, fuel gases and rare gases will rise up to 30 percent, while argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide/dry ice prices will increase about 15 percent. The company said increases for oxygen, nitrogen and nitrous oxide will be about 10 percent.

Praxair said the price boost is partially due to limited availability of certain products, particularly helium.

Shares of Praxair Inc. fell 83 cents to $89.99.
