US dollar mixed in Europe
LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.5870, down from $1.5888 late Thursday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
_102.64 Japanese yen, down from 103.09
_1.0131 Swiss francs, up from 1.0064
_1.0074 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0127
The British pound was quoted at $1.9974, up from $1.9916
Gold traded in London at $942.25 per troy ounce, up from $942.20 late Thursday.
In Zurich, gold traded at $942.65 bid per troy ounce, up from $940.25.
Silver opened in London at $18.35, up from $18.24.
