Agriculture futures rise sharply on CBOT

CHICAGO - Agriculture futures traded higher Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 6 cents to $8.5175 a bushel; May corn added 14 cents to $5.9425 a bushel; May oats rose 7 cents to $3.79 a bushel; May soybeans gained 59.25 cents to $13.7475 a bushel.

Beef futures traded higher and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle rose 0.80 cent to 90.82 cents a pound; April cattle added 0.15 cent to $1.017 a pound; May lean hogs gained 0.30 cent to 72.97 cents a pound; May pork bellies slipped 1.07 cents to 74.70 cents a pound.
