BIG BEAR, Calif. (AP) - A sheriff's spokeswoman says a grizzly bear has killed a trainer at a private animal training facility in the San Bernardino Mountains east of Los Angeles.
San Bernardino County sheriff's spokeswoman Cindy Beavers says three experienced handlers were working with the bear Tuesday at the Predators in Action facility when the bear bit a man in the neck.
Beavers says the center's staff used pepper spray to subdue the bear and there were no other injuries.
The man died at the scene. His name has not been released.
