Agriculture futures fall sharply on CBOT

CHICAGO - Agriculture futures traded lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 34 cents to $8.1775 a bushel; May corn fell 6.5 cents to $5.8775 a bushel; May oats dropped 4.5 cents to $3.745 a bushel; May soybeans declined 2.75 cents to $13.72 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle rose 0.88 cent to 91.70 cents a pound; April cattle added 0.05 cent to $1.0175 a pound; May lean hogs gained 1.28 cents to 74.25 cents a pound; May pork bellies added 0.40 cent to 75.10 cents a pound.
