FREMONT, Calif. - Microchip supplier Exar Corp. said Wednesday Pedro Rodriguez has been named president and chief executive, effective April 28.
Rodriguez succeeds John McFarlane, who began serving as interim CEO on Dec. 7 to replace former President and Chief Executive Ralph Schmitt, who resigned last year.
Rodriguez has served as a director with Exar since October 2005, and worked at Virage Logic Corp. as chief marketing officer.
