SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc., which makes chips for wireless phones and digital cameras, said Monday it expects its second-quarter profit to widely miss Wall Street estimates.

The company said it expects to report between a loss of 1 cent per share and a profit of 1 cent per share for the second quarter. The estimates include pretax stock-based compensation costs of $1.9 million to $2.1 million.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect a profit of 6 cents per share, on average, excluding compensation costs.
The company also said its revenue will likely range from $24 million to $26 million. Analysts predict revenue of $29.6 million.
Shares fell 44 cents, or 6.7 percent, to $6.13 in electronic after-hours trading. During regular trading, shares fell 17 cents to close at $6.57.
