WASHINGTON (AP) - The vice president of business planning and development of business software maker BEA Systems Inc. exercised options for 347,141 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
In a Form 4 filed Friday with the SEC, William M. Klein reported he exercised the options Wednesday for $5.55 to $11.92 apiece and then sold a total of 176,274 shares on the same day for $19.20 and $19.21 apiece.
Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
BEA Systems is based in San Jose, Calif.
