NEW YORK (AP) - The president of investment manager BlackRock Inc. exercised options for 52,500 shares of common stock, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings.

In Form 4s filed with the SEC Friday, Robert S. Kapito reported he exercised the options Thursday for $14 and $43.31 apiece and then sold all 52,500 of them on the same day for $200 to $202.46 apiece.
Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
BlackRock is based in New York.
