NEW YORK - The public agency that owned the World Trade Center has lost an appeal of a verdict that held it liable in the 1993 truck bombing that killed six people.
A five-judge New York state appellate panel on Tuesday upheld a decision that had denied an appeal by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
The agency had asked the court to set aside a 2005 jury verdict in the bombing.
The jury found that the agency had not properly protected the garage where the terrorist bomb exploded in February 1993, injuring about 1,000 people.
The Port Authority isn't immediately commenting on the decision.
