NEW YORK - A director of Cavium Networks Inc., which makes semiconductor processors, reported that 8,500 shares of common stock were sold by Solar Ventures Partners, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Monday, C.N. Reddy reported the shares were sold Thursday for $20.32 to $20.51 apiece.
Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.
