NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of aerospace and defense companies were mixed Tuesday, following a pattern in the broader markets, as investors appeared cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision Wednesday.
The Dow Jones industrial average and Standard & Poor's 500 both closed slightly lower on the day, with the Nasdaq composite index posting a modest gain.
