Wal-Mart Now Offers 3 Months of Medicines for $10

The program is an extension of Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer's initial plan which began in September of 2006, giving customers the chance to buy a 30-day supply of generic drugs for $4.

Wal-Mart says that since the start of the program to April 28 of this year, it has saved customers $1.16 billion.

The new $10, 90-day plan will fill prescriptions for as many as 350 generic medications.

The company also added additional women's medicines for $9, including those meant for osteoporosis, breast cancer, menopause and hormone deficiency.

The already-existing $4 program is also being extended to more medications and now totals more than $1000 over-the-counter drugs.
