NEW YORK - Bookseller Barnes & Noble Inc. said Tuesday it will begin selling magazine subscriptions via its Web unit Barnes & Noble.com both digitally and in print format.
BN.com will offer subscriptions to more than 1,000 magazine titles, many at a discount.
Also, more than 12,000 back issues of hundreds of magazine titles will be available digitally.
BN.com partnered with Zinio to provide digital magazines. M2 Media will help provide fulfill paper-based magazine subscriptions.
Zinio created the "See Inside" feature on BN.com that allows users to digitally review pages from books.
Shares rose 35 cents to $31.52 during afternoon trading.
