MAUMEE, Ohio - The Andersons Inc., a diversified company involved in agriculture, railcars and retail, on Wednesday projected full-year earnings above Wall Street forecasts.

The company expects to post a profit of $3.65 to $4.00 per share for 2008.

Analysts polled by Thomson Financial are predicting earnings of $3.64 per share, on average.

Andersons shares fell 96 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $44.85 in after-hours trading. The stock rose 81 cents to $45.81 during the regular session.
