NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of large pharmaceutical companies closed mostly higher Thursday with the broader market, despite the appearance before Congress of executives from several major companies aiming to defend their advertising practices.
Here's how some key drug makers performed Thursday:
Merck & Co. added 8 cents to $39.09.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., rose 3 cents to $22.79.
Schering-Plough up 53 cents to $18.71.
Pfizer Inc., gained 5 cents to $19.97.
Johnson & Johnson, down a penny to $66.90.
