MCLEAN, Va. - Sunrise Senior Living Inc.'s first-quarter revenue under management rose 11 percent as the company opened new facilities and increased occupancy rates, the nursing home operator said Thursday.

Sunrise did not release quarterly results because it is still restating results from 2007 after an accounting review found errors. In March, the company completed a restatement of results from 1996 through 2005 that reduced earnings by $173 million.
Sunrise plans to file the delinquent statements by July 31, a deadline it must meet to maintain compliance with the terms of its lending agreements.
Revenue under management rose to $625 million from $565 million last year. The measure refers to revenue from company-owned communities and ones where Sunrise has an operating contract but no ownership.
Sunrise shares rose 44 cents to $22.63 in early trading.
