NEW YORK (AP) - Shares of electrical equipment companies closed mixed on Friday as the broader market slipped on a steeper-than-expected quarterly loss from insurer American International Group and yet another increase in the price of oil.
Here's how some electrical equipment makers made out:
Amphenol Corp., down 90 cents to $46.30.
Cooper Industries Ltd., down 30 cents to $43.07.
Thomas & Betts Corp., up 65 cents to $36.51.
General Cable Corp., up 67 cents to $71.05.
