NEW YORK - Shares of real estate investment trusts ended lower Friday amid wider-than-expected losses at insurer American International Group Inc. and escalating oil prices.

Crude oil prices continued to fan inflation concerns, as oil futures rose above $126 a barrel for the first time.

How some REITs performed Friday:

SL Green Realty Corp. dropped $1.21 to $94.75.

Brookfield Properties Corp. fell 11 cents to $20.33.

Boston Properties Inc. slipped $1.82 to $97.76.

Kimco Realty Corp. shed 30 cents to $39.49.
