WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Steel maker and distributor Esmark Inc. on Friday confirmed the settlement of litigation between its Esmark Steel Service Group subsidiary and Herman Strauss Inc.

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
Esmark said the litigation arose out of a commercial dispute relating to steel scrap purchased by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. from Herman Strauss.
Herman Strauss, a family owned scrap business in Wheeling, W.Va., claimed that it had suffered more than $18 million in losses because of Esmark's illegal interference with a long-standing supply contract.
Esmark shares fell 2 cents to $16.57 in aftermarket trading, after falling 26 cents to $16.59 in the regular session.
