NEW YORK - Shares of electrical equipment companies closed higher Monday as the broader markets were lifted by a decline in crude prices and a stronger U.S. dollar.
Monday morning, a Friedman Billings Ramsey analyst reiterated his "Market Perform" rating on Emerson Electric Co. citing its better-than-expected second-quarter results.
Here's how shares of some electrical equipment makers performed:
Emerson Electric, up $2.02, or 3.7 percent, to $56.20.
Flextronics International Ltd., up 36 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $10.87.
Cooper Industries Ltd., up 93 cents, or 2.2 percent, to $44.
Jabil Circuit Inc., up 49 cents. to 4.5 percent, to $11.40.
