London police: Man stabbed on Oxford St.

LONDON - A man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in London's main shopping district on Monday, police said.

Police said the man was stabbed outside a fast food restaurant on Oxford Street.

Knife crime is a big issue in London and the capital's recently elected mayor, Boris Johnson, campaigned on promises to control knife-wielding gangs.

Police said the man is thought to be in his 20s, but has not yet been formally identified.
