The group, which represents North American freight railroads, also lobbied on legislation dealing with investment and tax issues, greenhouse gas emissions and more, according to the form posted online April 21 by the House clerk's office.

The association spent more than $7.6 million to lobby last year.

Opposing the industry is a coalition representing more than 3,500 electric, utility, chemical and manufacturing companies that support legislation which would subject railroads to stiffer antitrust standards.
